“People for Education in the Southeast Asia Region”

The 4th Princess Maha Chakri Award Ceremony is set to take place alongside an academic regional meeting aimed at enhancing teacher quality and educational equity with the topic “People for Education in the Southeast Asia Region” Scheduled between October 29th to 30th, 2564 BE.

The Princess Maha Chakri Award, established by The Teachers’ Council of Thailand under the Ministry of Education and practitioner in the education field, honors exemplary teachers across 11 Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Brunei, and Timor-Leste. Inspired by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s dedication to educational advancement, the award celebrates “teachers” who have significantly impacted their students’ lives and contributed to the nations’ development.


The recipient of the 4th Princess Maha Chakri Award in 2564 BE is Teacher Prathin Lianjamrun from Phang Nga Vocational Education, Phang Nga Province, Thailand. Renowned for her expertise in teaching marketing and economics at the vocational certificate level, Teacher Prathin is particularly esteemed for her ability to guide students in crafting comprehensive business plans. Her consultancy work with vocational students, notably on the “Bang Phat Homestay” project, has yielded sustainable success and garnered national recognition.



The academic regional meeting, themed “For Teacher and Educational Equality: People for Education in the Southeast Asia Region,” will feature esteemed speakers from various countries and organizations. Dr. Krissanapong Kirtikara, Chairman of the Princess Maha Chakri Award Foundation and Advisor to the Executive Committee of the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), Kyung-Sung Kim, representative of UNESCO Thailand, Dr. Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela, director of the The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), Ichiro Miyazawa, Head a.i. of the Office, UNESCO Myanmar, specialized in book and lifelong learning, UNESCO, ฺBangkok etc. They have the regional meeting this time.
